REGISTER VOLUNTEER DONATE

Black Achievers is a long-running initiative that fosters a supportive environment where young people are inspired to set goals, overcome barriers, and become leaders in their communities. The program is designed to help students succeed academically, personally, and professionally through:

  • Improved academic performance and graduation rates
  • Development of career goals and workplace skills
  • Increased confidence, leadership skills, and positive identity
  • Exposure to college and career pathways
  • Connections with mentors and professional role models

Capturing Our History

In partnership with researchers in the University of Kentucky's College of Education, Black Achievers is embarking on a project to capture the rich history of our program, allowing us to explore the impacts of Black Achievers over 40 years and to prepare for the future. We are seeking your help in gathering stories, experiences, and artifacts about Black Achievers and contributing your voice to the future of the program.

If you are connected to Black Achievers as an alumnus, a current or former program leader, a family member of a Black Achievers student, a volunteer, or a community partner, we want to hear from you! If you are interested in being a part of this endeavor, click the link below to complete a brief survey. You must be 18 to complete the form (Achievers under 18 must have parent permission).
