Y staff will help to identify ways volunteer can be involved with the program that aligns with their strengths. Cluster Lead Professionals and practitioners who can lead and facilitate an intensive curriculum at least twice a month in a classroom-style environment that may involve lectures, field trips, hands-on learning, and more. Adult Achiever Any volunteer who commits to completing a minimum of 40 hours, in any capacity, of volunteerism in a program year. Advisory Board Member Member of a 30-member board who guides Y staff on non-operational programming and is a community champion for the program and YMCA. *Required to commit to 40 hours of volunteerism Program Assistant Volunteer who assist with the overall operation. Assistants may contribute to on-site coordination, recruitment, field trips, follow-up, and more. Mentor/Tutor Mentor/Tutor will pair with any number of students to provide advisory and academic assistance. Mentor/tutor will be trained and offered opportunities to learn mentorship and techniques.
