• When the whistle blows, look to a lifeguard immediately and follow instruction.

  • Only U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed.

  • Walk on the pool deck. Do not run or engage in rough play in the pool area or locker rooms.

  • Glass, metal objects, chewing gum, tobacco products and being under the influence of alcohol are not permitted.

  • All red band swimmers must be accompanied by a parent or supervising guardian (age 16 and over), must be within arm’s reach of a parent or supervising guardian at all times and remain in the shallow end.

  • Wear family appropriate and clean swim attire only. No street shoes.

  • Shower before entering the aquatic center.

  • Every patron must be potty-trained or must wear a swim diaper.

  • Diving is prohibited in water less than nine feet deep.

  • Members and guests of all ages must change clothes in designated locker rooms. No diaper changing in pool area.

  • Do not enter the pool if you suspect you have or have a communicable disease or an open cut or blister.

  • Spitting, spouting water from mouth or blowing the nose in the pool is prohibited.

  • Prolonged underwater swimming or breath holding (and hyperventilation) is not permitted.

  • YMCA staff may close the pool at any time for safety reasons, including but not limited to chemical imbalance, mechanical issue, water clarity, pool contamination and natural dangers (lightning within 10 miles or thunder will constitute immediate closure for no less than 30 minutes from the last lightning strike or sound of thunder).
