2023 Gray team with campers at Bar Y

The YMCA of Central Kentucky gratefully recognizes Gray, a family-owned, fully integrated global service provider headquartered in Lexington, KY,  for their donation of time and materials this spring to get the YMCA outdoor adventure camp Bar-Y ready for campers! A team from Gray led by Kendall Kluttz, vice president, field operations, and Steve Higgins, director, service team, offered their expertise in construction to repair a bridge on site, and donated and installed a new basketball hoop.

Kendall explains, “Giving back to the communities in areas our offices and projects are in is a way we demonstrate Gray's caring culture and our company values. I am blessed to work for a company that makes it a priority to give back and promotes the opportunities to do so. At Gray, our purpose is to make a difference in people's lives and build a better future. Hopefully, this bridge and basketball goal will provide an avenue for the kids at the YMCA Summer Camp this year to build relationships and gain confidence all while having fun!”

Campers at Bar-Y hosted the Gray team on Friday, July 28 for a pizza and ice cream lunch to thank them for their contribution to the camp facilities, and to demonstrate the ways their investment has made an impact.

“On behalf of the Gray team, the opportunity to help the YMCA Camp is an honor. The people involved in making this camp a great place for kids to enjoy are special people. I am very thankful for what the YMCA Camp does for the community and feel truly blessed to be a small part of that,” Steve shared.

Thank you, team Gray; we are truly better together!
