The YMCA of Central Kentucky is excited to announce the construction of 10 outdoor pickleball courts at the North Lexington Family YMCA, located at 381 W. Loudon Avenue in Lexington. The courts are scheduled to be completed in early November.
“We’ve seen incredible demand for open play time at all our Lexington YMCA locations. Thanks to a generous gift of $200,000 from an amazing and generous donor and the work of a committed volunteer, we are able to offer more opportunity for pickleball players to engage in the sport,” said Paula Anderson, president and CEO of the YMCA of Central Kentucky. “We are blessed to have a beautiful outdoor space at the North Y that positions us to bring more pickleball to our members and the Lexington community.”
Across the four Lexington YMCA locations, the Y has 12 indoor pickleball courts with scheduled hours. The courts are available to YMCA members as part of their membership benefits. In 2024, the Y will begin offering introductory clinics and tournaments at the new outdoor courts.

Open playing times are:
- Mondays, 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. (4 courts) and 2-3:30 p.m. (2 courts)
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. – Noon (2 courts) and 2-3:30 p.m. (4 courts)
- Wednesdays and Fridays, 7:30 a.m. - Noon (4 courts) and 2-3:30 p.m. (2 courts)
- Sundays, Noon-1:30 p.m. (4 courts)
High Street YMCA
3 Total Indoor Courts
Open playing times are:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (3 courts)
North Lexington YMCA
2 Total Indoor Courts
Open playing times are:
- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9-11:30 a.m. and Sundays from 1-3 p.m. (2 Courts)
New: 10 Outdoor Courts
- November hours starting Monday, Nov. 6 are Monday-Fridays, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays-Sundays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Hours will be evaluated again in 2024.

3 Courts: Open playing times are:
- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 5:30-7 a.m. and 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11 a.m., Saturdays from 6-8 a.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
One Court playing times are:
- Open playing times on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
