Lexington, Kentucky (January 5, 2021) - The YMCA of Central Kentucky is reminding interested students, grades 6-12, that registration for their Black Achievers Virtual Program, which resumes on January 9, is now open for registration. YMCA Achievers is a nationally known college and career readiness program aimed to support student's higher education and career goals.

Nonprofits collaborating on NTI Learning Lab for Cardinal Valley neighborhoods  November 17, 2020, Lexington, KY  - The Lexington Public Library (LPL) and YMCA of Central Kentucky (The Y) have entered into a strategic partnership, offering an NTI (non-traditional instruction) Learning Lab for residents living in the Cardinal Valley neighborhoods.

September 25, 2020, Lexington, KY - Paula Anderson, who has served as interim leader of the YMCA of Central Kentucky for the past year, has officially been named the organization’s president and chief executive officer.

After closing its facilities in mid-March and transitioning many of its locations to support emergency child care services for first responders and medical personnel during the coronavirus pandemic, the YMCA of Central Kentucky today announced it will reopen a number of its locations on June 1, 2020.

The YMCA of Central Kentucky has received a $25,000 grant from the PNC Foundation to support the association’s efforts to address emergency child care services for Lexington first responders, essential services and hospital and medical workers.

Latest Update: March 15, 2020, 6:15 p.m. Effective close of business Monday, March 16, our High Street and Frankfort Downtown and Prevention Park locations will close in response to the current public health crisis. These actions follow recommendations issued earlier today from the YMCA’s National Resource Office.
