Our cancellation and refund policy has been updated, effective for youth sports registrations starting November 2025 and all program registrations starting December 2025. Please read the updated policy below.

To provide the best experience for all participants, the YMCA of Central Kentucky maintains this cancellation and refund policy, organized by program type. 

The YMCA of Central Kentucky works hard to keep all programs running as planned. If a program must be canceled or changed due to weather or other unexpected reasons, participants will be notified as soon as possible. We appreciate your participation in our programs.  
 

Includes: Before and After School Care and School’s Day Out 

  • Any change or cancellation must be at least 15 days prior to the program session date. There will be a $25 cancellation fee assessed. No credit is given for absences within the program, unless a 15 days’ notice is provided. 
  • We do not issue credits or refunds for scheduled school holidays, sickness, or closings due to inclement weather and there are no additional charges for early release days. 
  • All registration fees and deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. 
  • Any changes or cancellations to camp registrations must be requested in writing to the Business Operations Center by the deadlines provided at registration. Requests made after the applicable deadline will not be eligible for refunds or credits, and you will be drafted for your registered camp(s).  
  • If you cancel before the applicable deadline, you will not be charged the $25 cancel. 
  • We do not issue credits or refunds for scheduled school holidays, sickness, or closings due to inclement weather and there are no additional charges for early release days. 
  • All registration fees and deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. 
  • A $100 deposit is non-refundable. 
  • Cancellations made before the first day of practice will receive a refund excluding the $100 deposit. 
  • Cancellations made after the first day of practice are not eligible for a refund.  
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. 
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. 
  • To cancel a session, members should contact their trainer or instructor directly. 
  • For all other YMCA programs listed below, cancellations must be made at least seven (7) days prior to the program start date to receive a full refund or credit, minus the uniform fee, if applicable.  
  • Cancellations made less than seven (7) days before the start date are not eligible for a refund or credit unless approved by YMCA management.

  • Black Achievers 
  • Swim Lessons 
  • Pilates Reformer 
  • Training & Certifications 
  • Youth and Adult Sports Skills (including Pickleball) 
  • Youth and Adult Sports Leagues 
  • Parents’ Night Out 
  • Martial Arts 
  • Teen Night Outs 
  • Small Group Trainings
