Wyatt Lamb is a board member of the YMCA of Central Kentucky.

Behind every strong YMCA is a dedicated group of leaders who give their time, insight, and passion to move our mission forward. Our volunteer board members at the YMCA of Central Kentucky play a vital role in shaping our impact, helping ensure that we continue to remove barriers, strengthen community, and serve all.

We’re grateful for their leadership and commitment, and excited to introduce you to their own Y stories and the reasons they choose to invest in the Y.

Name: Wyatt Lamb

Board Service: Whitaker Family YMCA Advisory Board

Three words you think of when you think of the Y: Family, Community, Inclusion

What is one thing about the Y you wish everyone knew about or could
experience?
The availability of Kids Corner – two free hours of childcare every day for household members!

Your favorite/current book, movie, podcast, or workout.
A golf podcast called "No Laying Up."

When I'm not working or volunteering for the Y, you can find me:
Spending time with family, supporting UK Athletics, or getting steps in at a local park.

My Y story, my “why”:
I worked as a lifeguard at the Beaumont YMCA in 2013 and met my future wife, Christie. The Y has always been a huge part of her life — Beaumont Barracudas (swimmer and coach), Tabata with Allison Moore, Power Hour with Stephanie Arnold... the list goes on! Together, we became more involved with the Y as our relationship grew. Once my career began to take shape, I wanted to find a way to give back to the place that has given me more than I could ask for. I wish nothing more than for others to have the same kind of fulfilling experiences.
