We're excited to share that the Prevention Park YMCA in Frankfort will be undergoing facility improvements to better your experience. To complete the work, the entire facility will be temporarily closed from Monday, Sept. 15 to Sunday, Sept. 21.
During this closure, we'll be making the following upgrades:
- Replacing flooring throughout the facility
- Installing new countertops at the membership desk and in the locker rooms
- Expanding the entry way at check-in and into the wellness center
- Repairing and resurfacing areas of the parking lot
- General painting and deep cleaning throughout the building
- Installation of a new easy-access exterior door to an outdoor play area for Kids Corner
- New fencing around the outdoor play area
- New drywall and baseboards in shower stalls
We understand this may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience as we make these changes.
In the meantime, we welcome members (including those with Frankfort-only access) to join us at any of our Lexington locations, or to attend a virtual class.
SilverSneakers will also be offered at Capital City Activity Center, 202 Medical Heights Dr. at 9 a.m. on Monday through Friday during shutdown week. Class is limited to 20 people, and reservations sheets will be available at the front desk leading up to shutdown.
We plan to reopen on Monday, Sept. 22 and look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed and improved Y!
