The Caroline Memorial Community Center is open year round and provides a safe environment for children, seniors, families and visitors of the city of Nicholasville. The center is located at 220 E. Maple Street.

SUMMER PROGRAMS

ACT PREP
Designed to help students to understand and prepare for the college entrance tests.  Participants will learn test-taking strategies while taking and reviewing each section of the test. 
Dates and Times: June 3-28, 9 a.m. - Noon
Cost: $100 per child 

CHEER CLINIC
Ages: 7-9
Yell! Scream! Shout! This class will teach the basics of cheerleading motions, jumps, kicks, and easy cheers. Participants will receive a cheer shirt.
Dates and Times: June 10-14 or June 17-21, 10 a.m. - Noon
Cost: $115 per child

GYMNASTICS CLINIC 
Ages: 5-11
A fun introductory class for young gymnasts! The student in this class will be introduced to basic gymnastics skills as well as learn elements of strength, coordination, and flexibility. 
Dates and Times: June 24-28, 10 a.m. - Noon
Cost: $100 per child

BABYSITTER CERTIFICATION
Learn about the basics of caring for children while developing your leadership skills. Training includes child safety, recognizing and preventing emergencies as well as basic first aid and CPR for infants and children. This class will certify you in child/infant CPR. It teaches rescue breathing, obstructed airway management, CPR, and using an AED (Automated Electronic Defibrillator). Build your knowledge, skills, and resume by participating in this training.
Dates and Times: July 8-9, 9 a.m. - Noon
Cost: $71 per person 

OPEN RECREATION
The YMCA's Caroline Memorial Community Center participates in the USDA summer feeding program. Lunch will be provided at the Y every day at noon, after lunch, youth can participate in open recreation time.  

Open Recreation is your opportunity for students to participate in free activities at the YMCA, Monday-Friday from 1-5 p.m. Activities include board games, cards, BINGO, video games, outdoor sports and free play. Completed registration form on file is required in order to participate. 


FACILITY RENTALS

The Caroline Memorial Community Center is the perfect location for meetings, dinners, receptions or family gatherings. The rental fee is $25 per hour. A non-refundable deposit of $20 is also required. If you are interested in facility rentals, contact Sharonda Steele at ssteele@ymcacky.org.
